Nonprofit organizations with valid 501(c)(3) status, or Ventura County residents affiliated with such organizations, may apply. Applicants must align with VMF's mission to support live music, and/or music education.

Eligible projects include, but are not limited to:

• Live music performances

• Music education programs

• Community music-related workshops or screenings

• Music outreach initiatives Projects must serve the residents of Ventura County.

Grants range from $500 to $5,000, awarded at VMF's sole discretion based on budget, merit, alignment with VMF's mission, and community impact.

Funds may be used for:

• Artist or instructor fees (no direct payment to principals)

• Equipment rental or purchase (music-related)

• Program marketing and promotion

• Educational materials or supplies

• Venue rental (if applicable) Funds may not be used for political, lobbying, or non-charitable purposes.

Grantees must submit an Impact Report within 60 days of the project's completion, including:

• A financial report detailing use of funds

• A narrative on outcomes and impact

• Attendance figures (if applicable)

• Promotional materials, photos, or media coverage (if available)

Grantees must publicly acknowledge VMF's support in all project-related promotions, including websites, social media, event programs, press releases, and signage. Official logos and language will be provided.

If funds are not used for the approved purposes, or if post-event reporting requirements are not met, VMF reserves the right to require full repayment within 30 days of notice.
